The building was designed as a steel skeleton construction with brick infills in the facades and masonry and plasterboard walls in part in the interior. Erected earlier and used as an employment office, the building was placed under a preservation order in 1997. It is registered as an architectural monument in the Berlin preservation order list as Sonnenallee 262/260 – Employment Office II, 1931-32 by Leo Lottermoser. The land development plan drawn up by the city of Berlin shows the land as a commercial building area. There is a legally binding development plan XIV-182, which describes the current usage type and density.
